Fun Scent Work Trial

Ready for a bit of fun competition just for Team Doggy Lady Sniffer Dog School clients? 

Doggy Lady Sniffer Dogs are invited take part in our fun mock scent work trials (based on the ANKC scent work rules but subject to adaption by Team Doggy Lady - so there will be things like allowing dogs who need more space (our astronauts) all the space they need, handlers under 18 can enter but just have an adult present, etc)

You do not need to have any experience trialling - this is an opportunity to have a go. However, if you have not yet completed the Introduction to Trial Ready classes - please ensure you familiarise yourself with ANKC Scentwork rules. If you have successfully trialled at the level and would like to enter as a "non compete" (ie you can't win a pretty ribbon!) enter and then email me at woof@thedoggylady.com.au.

A great opportunity to see how you fare under "competition" but also just to have fun with your dogs. Whilst we do follow ANKC rules and the searches will be set "at level" there will be guidance and smiles and FUN - no judgement - only support and sniffing fun! 

If your dog has an ANKC title - you can still come play at this one (we will just keep the place getter rosettes for the newbies!)

Fun trials are only open to DOGGY LADY CLIENTS (Dogs United Training Academy also invited). If that isn't you - pop us an email at woof@thedoggylady.com.au - we want to be inclusive as possible but also keep all safe.

You can enter as many elements and classes as you like (ie you can do Novice Containers, Advanced Containers, and Advanced Interiors all on the same day!) However, handlers may only enter ONE dog per element at each level (as hides will remain the same). IF you have more than one dog - you can enter as NOT FOR COMPETITION - and let me know which dog is not running for qualification (as you will know where the hides are). This is a nice option if you have a baby dog!

$27.50 incl GST per element/level entered (ie per search) (Except for Good Friday searches - 4 novice searches for $100, 3 advanced searches for $80)

And there just might be some pretty rosettes and ribbons - just like a real trial :) But do remember, your results will not help with your ANKC title - but you can still brag if your dog is amazing! this also means that nonANKC registered dogs can enter - AND dogs who need space (astronauts) can play the game in safety. You can also work towards your Team Doggy Lady title and get a special sash!

PLUS you will normally get to search on and find your hide and there will be some feedback for teams!

Classes: Excellent Vehicles and Exteriors (each entry will include 1 vehicle search and 1 exterior search)
Odours: Clove, Cypress and Birch (Excellent) 
Time:  8:30am Briefing 
Ribbons: Qualification ribbons plus place getter rosettes for each search . Judge's Rosette may also be presented if someone is extra amazeballs!

Please note - Astronauts (dogs who need space) are WELCOME. SImply email me and you will be given time to complete searches with SPACE.

Time:  9am Briefing for Novice. Advanced will follow after novice and will not commence before 12 noon.
Ribbons: Qualification ribbons plus place getter rosettes for each search . Judge's Rosette may also be presented if someone is extra amazeballs!

NOTE: If you would like an ASTRONAUT SPOT - please email us at woof@thedoggylady.com.au - due to limited parking I will need to arrange something different for you - but you will be accomodated. Dogs who just need a little space - just note on your application.
